Effective February 29, 2012 LERN will be closing down all operations. LERN has been in
operation for almost fifteen years and during those years has helped hundreds of people through
the job transition process. The ability to resource information relative to the transition
process has improved dramatically since our beginning. Today you can readily access just about
anything through the internet and social media and this certainly includes what you need to
know about successful job transition. In short the internet has made the LERN organization
less relevant. Over time our membership has dramatically declined simply because people in
transition can now resource on line what LERN used to provide to its membership.
We know that LERN has made a difference to many and we strongly encourage those in transition
to remember that personal face to face networking is perhaps more important than ever. It was
difficult for us to make this decision, but we needed to be realistic about the impact of
technology. It has been our pleasure to serve you.
